Leona Dermody

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Leona Dermody of Seekonk, Massachusetts, whose life came to an end on March 7, 2026 at the age of 94, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto A. Austin and Myrtle Austin (Hall); her husband Walter Francis Dermody; her son Walter F. Dermody, Jr.; and her siblings, Bud Austin, Issabelle Hellurd and Nettie Gilbert.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Dermody (Carla) of Granby, MA and Kathleen Leahy (Walter) of Plainville, MA.; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly, Alexa, Ryan and Shaughn; and her great grandchildren, Gordon, Michael, Hailey, Zachary, Brooklynn and Logan. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (984 Taunton Ave, Seekonk, MA 02771).
