Leo Scott Epting

Leo Scott Epting, age 15, of Tanglewood Way in Gray Court, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Born on November 25, 2010, in Laurens, South Carolina, Leo was the son of Jonathan Epting and Petra Cruz Constancio of Gray Court. A freshman at Laurens District High School, he was a vibrant, energetic boy who loved the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes, and he had a special affection for all animals, especially turtles, squirrels, chickens, and lizards. Leo was also dedicated to martial arts and had earned his first-degree black belt. Whatever he set his mind to, he pursued with focus and excellence. Above all, he was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend.

Leo is survived by his brother, Jonathan Scott Epting, Jr.; his sisters, Aaliyah Cruz and Sitara Mae Epting; his grandmothers, Vicenta Salazar and Barbara Ann Epting; his uncles, Michael Cruz, David Cruz, Christian Cruz, Johnny Harper (Felicia), and Ben Calwile; his aunt, Jessica Cruz; his great-uncle, Buck Miller; and his cousin, Amyliea Cruz.
