Lenore Pearl Stoller
November 21, 1941— March 7, 2026
Boynton Beach, FL
Lenore Pearl Stoller, a respected educator who rose from classroom teacher to Deputy Superintendent of the Forest Hills School District, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Brooklyn on November 21, 1941, to Benjamin and Dora Goldman, she grew up with her sister Beverly and graduated as valedictorian of Thomas Jefferson High School. She went on to attend Brooklyn College, beginning a distinguished career in education that spanned several decades.
Lenore began as a teacher in the New York City public school system and advanced through leadership roles that included teacher trainer, supervisor, district administrator of special education, Director of Pupil Personnel, and ultimately Deputy Superintendent of the Forest Hills School District. Colleagues, families, and students admired her intellect, compassion, and steadfast commitment to helping young people succeed.
Her professional accomplishments were matched by her deep devotion to family. She shared a lifelong love with her husband, Neil, whose families had known each other for generations; the couple met as infants and married in 1962. Together they raised their children, Eric and Beth, in Brooklyn, cherishing family gatherings around the dining room table during Passover and Rosh Hashanah. After retiring from the New York City school system, Lenore continued sharing her love of learning as an adjunct professor at Southampton College. She and Neil divided their time between New York and Boynton Beach, Florida, before making Boynton Beach their permanent home.
A lifelong learner, Lenore embraced an active retirement filled with courses at Florida Atlantic University, book clubs she organized, and the thoughtful conversations that brought friends and neighbors together. She also volunteered behind the scenes with the Palm Isles Players, supporting community theater productions. In her later years at The Barclay at Boynton Beach, she was surrounded by compassionate caregivers while Neil remained a constant, daily presence at her side.
Lenore is survived by her loving husband, Neil Stoller; her children, Eric Stoller and Beth Feldman; her son-in-law, Darin Feldman; her daughter-in-law, Maria Stoller; and her grandchildren, Rebecca, Danielle, and Dylan. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the many lives she touched through learning, conversation, and community.
