Mr. Lenard Mattox, 78, of East St. Louis, Illinois, passed away on March 10, 2026, at his home.
He is survived by his sons, Germaine (Cornetta) Gage of Swansea, Illinois, and Valdez Mattox of East St. Louis, Illinois; his brothers, Willie Mattox, Charles Mattox, and Carl Mattox of Shiloh, Illinois; and his sisters, Claudia Mattox of East St. Louis, Ruby Mattox of Lovejoy, Illinois, Darlene Mattox of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Vickie (Keith) Edwards of Peoria, Illinois, and Barbara Mattox of East St. Louis, Illinois. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
