Lenard Anthony Beck
November 7, 1954— March 5, 2026
Lakeland, FL
Lenard Anthony Beck, a cherished family man and respected community member, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on November 7, 1954, in Midland, Michigan, Lenard lived a life marked by love, dedication, and kindness.
He was the beloved son of the late John William Beck and Irene Agnes Fitak. Lenard was a devoted husband to his late wife, Shary Beck, whom he married on August 17, 1988. Though Shary’s passing in January 2015 left a deep void, he carried forward the strength and compassion that defined their marriage.
Lenard was a loving father to his sons, Lenard Beck II and his wife Arlene, and Elliott Beck and his wife Ashley. His guidance and affection shaped their lives in lasting ways. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren, Brileigh, Loralyn, Atalie, and Logan Davis, who will always treasure the memories of their doting grandfather. His siblings, John Beck II (Linda), Robert Beck, Tom Beck (Linda), and Jean Beck, will remember him as a steadfast brother who offered unwavering support and companionship.
Lenard worked for many years at Giant Supermarket in Midland, Michigan, before moving to Florida, where he continued his career at Weyerhaeuser in Lakeland. A longtime member of Resurrection Catholic Church and School, he drew strength from his faith. He found joy in painting gnomes, following fantasy sports, and above all, caring deeply for his family and friends. He was a great man and a good father who consistently went the extra mile for those he loved. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
