Ashworth, 72, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of March 16, 2026.She was born at home on September 28, 1953, in Starks, LA., to the late Roy L. Ashworth and Shirley A. Ashworth.Lena was a strong willed old soul who never backed away from a challenge. She carved her own path in life and truly marched to the beat of her own drum. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.She had a deep love for her family and friends and a heart of gold. Lena was always giving, often quietly and was constantly thinking of others. At times she would offer some words of wisdom and even advice though it wasn't always the best (and most times downright questionable), it was always given with love and a touch of humor that made her unforgettable.Her infectious smile and playful spirit could light up any room she entered. She loved to laugh and had a gift for making others laugh right along with her. In Lena, we had our very own Annie Oakley... Strong spirited and for sure one of a kind!She is survived by her daughter, Karen R. Harrison and husband Charles R. Harrison; her grandchildren, Melanie, Cameron, Benjamin, Abigail; and a great grandson, Drew. She is also survived by her siblings, Shelton Ashworth, Armithea "Sissy'' Borel, Ricky Ashworth and Thomas Ashworth along with numerous nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Starks, Louisiana.
