Lena Louise Turner

Lena Louise Turner, age 89, beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. She was the last of twelve children, born on March 15, 1936, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late George and Beulah Spearman Coker.

A talented seamstress, Lena spent many years in the textile industry at Ruth’s Fashions before retiring. Her life was defined by her deep commitment to family and her steadfast work ethic. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, O'Dell Turner, and together they raised three children. After his passing, she found companionship with Tom Hall, who remained her devoted partner until his death.

Lena’s compassion and nurturing spirit touched everyone who knew her. She found great joy in the natural world, tending her flowers and watching the birds and squirrels that visited her garden.

She is survived by her children, Odell Turner, Pamela Bishop (Mike), and Connie Landreth; six grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, husband, and longtime partner, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
