Lena Krygsman

1935 — 2026

Lena Krygsman passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born in Den Bommel, the Netherlands, she grew up during the German occupation of World War II, when her family home was occupied by the SS until the war’s end. She also survived the devastating Netherlands flood of 1953. In 1954, she and her husband emigrated to the United States, where she built a life as a devoted homemaker and embraced the American Dream while raising her family.

She is survived by her sons and their wives: Adrian and Jackie Krygsman, Herbert and Nidia Krygsman, and Roland and Liliana Krygsman. She leaves behind many cherished grandchildren: Wesley and Julie Krygsman, Frankie Krygsman, Lauralee and Jon Mickulik, Kourtney and Derek Teixiera, and Tara and Aaron John Krygsman. Lena was blessed with a large number of great-grandchildren: Holden, Desmond, Cole, Wynston, Selma, Angelo, Brielle, Desiree, Alizayah, Gleidy, Chase, Jaelynne, Jerimiah, Noah, Carter, and Mason, as well as her great-great-grandson, Jonah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews in the Netherlands and her immediate family in the United States.
