Lena E. Marrama

Lena Raso (Marrama) of East Boston passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gregory “Sonny” Raso Sr. Devoted mother of Gregory Raso Jr. and his wife Deborah of East Boston, and Steven Raso and his wife Maryann of Billerica. Dear sister of Edward Marrama and his wife Rita of Dennis, and the late Anna Iandolo and her husband Vincent. Cherished grandmother of Nicole Raso of East Boston, and Gregory Raso III and his wife Arielle of East Boston. Adored great-grandmother of Alexus Raso and Ariana Raso of East Boston. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Together with her late husband, Lena proudly owned and operated The Tunnel Stop Restaurant in East Boston. She later worked for many years as a paraprofessional in the Boston Public Schools. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.

Lena will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
