Lemuel Henry Payne

Lemuel Henry Payne, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on March 6, 2026.

Born on February 26, 1953, in Naylor, Missouri, to Henry and Cleta (Nesbit) Payne, Lemuel grew up in the community that shaped his early life. He married Glenna Packineau in Naylor and proudly served in the United States Army.

Lemuel is survived by his wife, Glenna Payne; his sons, Jason Payne and John Payne; his daughters, Heather Payne, Marsha, and Stephanie; and his sister, Anne Schaper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Cleta Payne. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends who knew and loved him.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled for a later date.
