Leah Marie Beatty-Shays

Leah passed on February 27, 2026 after a brief illness with her family by her side. Leah was very kind-hearted, and loved animals, especially her ferrets and bearded dragon. She was a very talented singer and artist. Leah recently developed a passion for tattooing as she became a tattoo artist. She also had a very close relationship with her mom and siblings.

She leaves her mom, Jenney Beatty of Port Orange, FL; her father, Patrick Shays of Worcester, MA; brother, David Vassil Jr; sister, Evelyn Vassil and nephew, Cyrus of Port Orange, FL; grandfather, Stephen Beatty of Edgewater, FL; grandmother, Debra Jarvis of Springfield, MA; great-grandmother, Priscilla Beatty of Edgewater, FL; and her father figure, David Vassil Sr of Port Orange, FL. She also leaves two brothers, Patrick Shays Jr and Caelum Shays; sister, Isabella Shays; and grandmother, Kelley Shays of Worcester, MA. She had several aunts, uncles and cousins both from Florida and Massachusetts.

Leah will be missed tremendously by friends and the community.
