Lazane Frost

Lazane Frost, 91, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on March 14, 2026. Born on August 30, 1934, in Dodson, Louisiana, she lived a life centered on her family and her faith.

Her greatest joys were her roles as a loving mother, grandmother, and military wife. She cared for her family with gentle yet abundant love, always placing them before herself. Lazane had a warm and open spirit, enjoying meeting new people and never meeting a stranger. After her youngest child started school, she worked as a switchboard operator at the LA State Office Building and later as a unit clerk on the labor and delivery unit at E.A. Conway Hospital, where she retired.

A faithful member of First Baptist Church West Monroe, Lazane taught the adult disabled Sunday School class for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Raymond M. Frost; her parents, Jadie D. and Laura Frazier; and her brother, Arlan Frazier.

She is survived by her children, Laura Frost, Jay Frost (Douglas Taylor), and Karla Sweeney (David); her grandchildren, Ellen Summers (Ian) and John David Sweeney; her sister, Janice Taylor (Kenneth); her sister-in-law, Bobbie Sue Frazier; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
