Lawrence R. Lucido, 84, of Pittsfield, passed away on March 5, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center with his granddaughter Jena by his side, holding his hand. Born in Pittsfield on January 4, 1942, to the late Edward and Angela Massacani Lucido, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1960. He married June Frye on September 4, 1970, and together they shared 55 years of marriage.
Mr. Lucido worked for several years at Lipton Steel before becoming a machinist at General Electric Ordnance in Pittsfield. He later retired from General Electric in Schenectady. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting, fishing, and camping in Vermont, often accompanied by his wife June and their dear friends of more than 57 years, Carl and Pat Dufur and Bob and Bonnie Dufur. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, June Lucido of Pittsfield; his son, Monroe Menefee; his sister, Rosemary Lasoskie; his brother, Julio Lucido and wife Tammi; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Thompson; grandchildren Alyson Smith, Jeremy Wallace, Jena Smith, Evvanne Menefee, and Mirov Menefee; and great-grandchildren Jaxon Redden Wallace, Jefferson Snipes Wallace, Safiyah Wallace, Anthony Smith, Aloni Smith, Jake Wallace, and Jett Wallace. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laura Lucido, and his son, Anthony Menefee.
