Lawrence "Buddy" Herbert Small, III

Lawrence "Buddy" Herbert Small, III, 66, of Pollocksville, North Carolina, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Onslow Memorial Hospital. Born on May 6, 1959, in Middleboro, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Lawrence H. Small, Jr. and Martha Edens Small.

Buddy shared more than 40 years of marriage with his wife, Joyce Small. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Rochelle Bates (Kofi) and Ashley Daniels (Eric), and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Khayri Bates, Kalil Bates, Riley Daniels, and Jackson Daniels. He is also survived by his siblings, Cathy Lahner (Patrick), Edward Small (Norma), Jody Small, Teresa Small, and Warren Small, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished fishing buddies.
