He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wiatr and Stephanie Wiatr (Skrzynski); and his siblings, Daniel Wiatr and Joanne Kurtti (Bruce). He is survived by: his wife Lena Melnyk; his children, Eric Wiatr (Rachel), Jennifer Wiatr (Bobby) and Andrew Wiatr (Amela); his grandchild Manny Martinez; his sister Judith Wiatr; his sisters-in-law, Diane Wiatr and Anna Rose (James); and his sibling's children, Laurie Rose, Christopher Rose, Alexander Rose and Wayne Kurtti.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory (620 Legion Dr, Twin Lakes, WI 53181). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mound Prairie Cemetery (38900 104th St, Genoa City, WI 53128).
