Born on December 28, 1962, Laurie was a beacon of compassion, dedication, inspiration, and ambition to everyone who had the privilege to know her. Today, on March 9, 2026, we honor her memory and the indelible impact she had on us all.Laurie was a lifelong resident of Ogden, Utah, and was deeply rooted in her community. In her professional life, Laurie was a dedicated forklift driver in the manufacturing sector, where her diligence and commitment were well recognized.However, Laurie's true passion lay beyond her work. She was an avid crocheter, fisher, seamstress, and camper. She adored riding horses, walking to the pond, indulging in a good book or movie and shopping at Savers or the BDO. Yet, nothing brought Laurie more joy than spending time with her beloved family. Her children, Diane Mushrush, Joshua Overbaugh, Stephanie Warren and Ryan Palmer. Survived by her grandkids Mariah Chatelain, Anastasia McFarland, Amberlee Mushrush, Rafferty Palmer, Titus Overbaugh, Jocelyn Overbaugh, Kaitlyn Overbaugh, Riley Morino, Haylee Warren, Xander Warren, Vanice Robinson along with 7 great grandkids that were the light of her life, and her dear mother, Evelyn Valdez, was her rock. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Valdez.Laurie was a woman of exceptional strength and kindness. Her love for her family was boundless, and she created a home filled with warmth and love. She was a woman of action, always there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or a comforting word.
