She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Dringus and Elenor Dringus; her husband Richard Edward Sapala; and her sister-in-law Shirley Sapala. She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer (Robert Herman) and Stefanie (Mark Vidaic); her grandchildren, Ryan, Sofia and Luke; her brother Steven Dringus (Theodora); and her brother-in-law Peter Sapala.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillsborough Funeral Home (796 US-206, Hillsborough Township, NJ 08844). A prayer will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Mother of God Church (157 S Triangle Rd, Hillsborough Township, NJ 08844). A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Bernard Cemetery (551 NJ-28, Bridgewater, NJ 08807).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Laurie may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
