He had a natural gift for teaching and loved explaining how things worked, whether it was a new idea, a practical skill, or a story from history. Those who knew him will remember the passion he brought to every conversation and the enthusiasm he had for learning and discovery.He found great enjoyment in many hobbies and talents. He was an avid pool player and fisherman who appreciated the quiet patience those pastimes required. A lover of the arts and history, he had a deep fascination with the Renaissance and often shared that interest with others. Music was another part of his life, and he enjoyed playing the piano whenever he could.Butch was also a creative spirit. He painted, wrote books, and expressed his thoughts and experiences through storytelling and art. His writing reflected his love of knowledge and his desire to inspire others to explore the world around them.Adventure was never far from his heart. He loved the thrill of sailboat racing and the excitement of car racing, embracing the challenge and camaraderie that came with both. To him, life was something to be experienced fully, and he did just that.He is survived by his children, Mike Schneider and wife Teresa, Patty Nunez and husband Michael, and Sandi Stafford; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with extended family and friends.Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
