Lauren E. Schutte

Lauren E. Schutte, 47, of Upper Darby, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, following a courageous 1.5-year battle with ovarian cancer. A graduate of Upper Darby High School, class of 1997, Lauren possessed a deep passion for writing and music, especially the works of Bob Marley and Tupac. She loved to dance and, in recent years, found great joy in spending Friday nights with her parents, Robert and Maureen, laughing, joking, and watching music videos together. Those moments remain deeply cherished by her family.

Lauren’s happiest times were spent with her beloved niece, Mila. Known for her strength and her lifelong habit of putting others before herself, she faced her illness with remarkable resilience and grace. Her warm spirit and quiet courage touched everyone who knew her, and she will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Maureen Schutte; her siblings, April Schutte (Shawn), Robert Schutte, Jr., and Stephanie Blackless (Alan); her nieces and nephews, Mila, Connor, Grey, Everett, Rowan, and Chance; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
