Laura Veronica Ragaglia

1947 — 2026

Beacon, NY

Laura Veronica Ragaglia, a longtime Beacon resident formerly of Hopewell Junction and the Bronx, passed away on March 10, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 79.

Born in the Bronx on February 22, 1947, Laura was the daughter of the late John L. and Veronica (Perreira) Koller. She enjoyed a long and varied career, working for Kodak, Sam’s Club, and McDonald’s before retiring from JC Penney in 2011, where she specialized in window treatment sales for many years.

Laura was known to all as the “Life of the Party.” She loved cooking and entertaining, especially during the holidays, and found joy in her many creative hobbies, including art and making jewelry. She cherished summers spent camping at her home in Milford, Pennsylvania, yet nothing brought her greater happiness than being a grandmother.

On April 6, 1980, she married Anthony V. Ragaglia in Pawling. Anthony survives her at their home in Beacon. She is also survived by her daughter, Annette Strehle of Pawling; her son, Anthony Ragaglia, Sr. and his wife Danielle of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Joseph Strehle, Anthony Ragaglia, Jr., Landon Ragaglia, and Gavin Ragaglia; her sister, Edna Panigrosso; and many other loving family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John Koller.
