Enderlin, ND

Laura Mae Davidson, 91, of Enderlin, North Dakota, passed away on March 10, 2026 at Maryhill Manor in Enderlin under the care of HIA Hospice.

Born Laura Mae Green on August 21, 1934 to Laura (Sund) Green and Marvie Green in Liberty Township, she and her sister RoseMary grew up on the family farm. The sisters attended Liberty School and later Moore School after the family moved to Moore Township. Laura Mae graduated from Enderlin High School.

She married Neil Davidson on July 19, 1952. The couple farmed near Enderlin until 1971 and moved into town in 1975. They raised eight children on the farmstead they shared with Neil’s parents, Hans and Alma Davidson. Though they later divorced, they remained friends.

Laura Mae was known for her strong work ethic, both on the farm and in a variety of off-farm jobs. She spent many years with Ransom County Social Services, first as an in-home caregiver and later as office staff. After retiring to care for her parents, she worked part-time at the Enderlin School. A devoted Enderlin Eagles sports fan, she rarely missed a game and was honored with a reserved parking spot at Hendrickson Baseball Field. She found joy in reading, crocheting, and solving crossword puzzles.

Laura Mae moved to Maryhill Manor in Enderlin in 2020. She is survived by her sons Steven of Enderlin, Randy (Marta) of Enderlin, Robert (Darcy) of Beulah, and Richard of Big Lake, Minnesota; her daughters Amy (Paul) Wadeson of Fingal and Kristi (David) Domm of Dent, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister RoseMary Strom of Moorhead, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters Cynthia Lu and Laura Marie, her grandson Payton Adams, her daughters-in-law Laurel Davidson and Laurie Davidson, her parents, and her husband Neil.
