She grew up n the family farm east of Brighton and also lived in Arvada and the San Francisco Bay area. She loved her time in the big city but was thankful to go back home to the simple country life.Here is the obituary that Laura wrote:I was given the gift of acceptance and freedom by my loving family and friends. Thank you all for being part of my life and bringing much joy, laughter, love and many memories into my life. Wow!Through my many journeys and adventures of life, I grew to be independent, resilient and a caring person who felt emotions deeply.My love of family, friends, animals, music, dance, Harleys, reading and learning, quiet moments and peaceful thoughts helped me to surrender to life and accept the present, most of the time!Laura is survived by her mother, Betty Mathis, her sisters, Sharon Krantz, Mary Applehans (Ron) and Wendy Augustine, nieces and nephews, Stephen, Brenda, John, Sarah and many great nieces and nephews.Laura is preceded in death by her father, Charles Augustine; brother, Gary Augustine; nephew, Brian Mason; and niece, Megan Augustine.Laura will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Laura Lee Augustine, please visit our floral store.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
