Laura Elguezabal-Hickman of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Durango, Colorado. Born in Boise, Idaho, her adventurous spirit carried her to Alaska and Louisiana before she made her home in Pagosa Springs in 2007. Wherever life took her, Laura’s trademark warmth and genuine kindness followed, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
In Pagosa Springs, she became a beloved member of the community, caring for animals at Elk Park Animal Hospital, welcoming travelers at the San Juan Motel, and generously helping residents and visitors alike through her work with Pagosa Cab.
