October 13, 1947— March 3, 2026
Grand Marsh, WI
Laura Bea Huber, 78, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin, passed away on March 3, 2026, following complications from surgery.
Born on October 13, 1947, to Doug and Donna Wilsman, Laura dedicated her life to her faith from an early age. She was baptized on July 30, 1958, and went on to serve for many years as a full-time volunteer Bible teacher, sharing the hope of a future paradise with others. Her faith remained the guiding force throughout her life.
In 1982, Laura met Albert Huber, who became her beloved husband. They married on July 31 of that year and made their home first in Germantown, Wisconsin, before moving to Grand Marsh in 1989 to continue their ministry work together. They shared a life centered on faith, travel, and quiet joys until Albert’s passing in the fall of 2024. Laura had a deep love for nature, finding delight in gardening, feeding birds, and observing the wildlife that visited her yard, including a memorable visit from a pair of bears. She cherished trips to Switzerland with Albert and, more recently, a special train journey to Montana with her dear friend Mary.
Laura was known for her generosity, warmth, and hospitality. She loved gathering with family and friends, often treating them to lunch at the Family Affair restaurant in Friendship. Her kind spirit and joyful presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents, Doug and Donna Wilsman; and her sister, Linda. Laura is survived by her brother, Phillip; her nieces, Michelle, Autumn, and Jaed; her nephews, LaMont, Ben, Charlie, and Jon; many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews; and a wide circle of cherished friends who were like family to her.
