She was the cherished daughter of Exzelais Bernier and Antoinise Gay. Born and raised in Haiti, Laude spent her formative years in her homeland before immigrating to the United States, where she established a new life and community.Laude was a devoted mother to Margarett, Rose, and Switzer. She earned the affectionate nickname "the lottery queen" for her enthusiasm, even going so far as to create her own ''lottery club'' with friends. Renowned for her sociable nature, Laude had an extraordinary ability to connect with people everywhere she went. Her presence brought happiness and laughter to those around her, and she was always eager to uplift the spirits of others.Laude is survived by her beloved children: Margarett Lubin and her husband Pierre-Michel Lubin; Rose Brutus and her husband Greg Brutus; and Switzer Viel. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Taifa Lubin, Kayla Lubin, Neema Laude Lubin, Mya Brutus, Saige Brutus, Dasmin Cloe Brutus, Jacolby Lee Viel, and Renesanse Laurence Viel. She is also survived by her great-grandchild, Skya Mikal Lubin.In addition to her immediate family, Laude is mourned by her siblings, Manita Renald of Haiti and Fistela "Dedette" Sant-Fleur of Haiti, her nephews who lived with her for many years, Yves Edouard Bernier, Rigaud Renald Paul, as well as many other family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St Malden on Saturday, March 21th, at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass at St. Catherines located at 185 Summer Street in Somerville at 10am. with interment at Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Laude Bernier, please visit our floral store.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
