LaTarsha West
January 14, 1979— March 6, 2026
Little Rock, AR
LaTarsha West was born on January 14, 1979, in Dumas, Arkansas, to Martha Gean Perkins and Jimmy Westley West, Jr. She was lovingly raised by her stepfather, James Lee Perkins. She departed this life on March 6, 2026, at the age of 47.
LaTarsha was a devoted mother to her children Aaliyah West, Semaj Brown, and Kiara West of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a cherished grandmother to Austin Lewis and Kacen Hawkins. A member of The Breath of Life Church, she served faithfully until her passing. She was known for her striking beauty, sharp humor, and unforgettable personality. Bold and unafraid to speak her mind, she lived life loudly and authentically, with a generous heart that led her to give her last to help others.
She found joy in cooking, baking, shopping, traveling, listening to music, and dancing, but her greatest love was the Lord and the time spent creating memories with her family.
She leaves behind her siblings Marlon Haynes (Marlena) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Stephanie West of Alexander, Arkansas; Antwon Lison (Tatiana) of Los Angeles, California; Don May of Little Rock, Arkansas; Samuel May (Kristia) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Jimmy Bean of Forrest City, Arkansas; and Edward Fountain of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Her stepsiblings are Selena Blevens (Wayne) of McGehee, Arkansas; Buster Perkins of Little Rock, Arkansas; Sterling Perkins of San Diego, California; Etoy Perkins of Oklahoma; and Michelle Gray (Derrick). She is also survived by her dear best friend, Shameka, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
