Larry Wayne Robinson

Larry Wayne Robinson, age 80, of Nevada, Iowa, passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded by his four children.

Born on January 4, 1946, in Ankeny, Iowa, to Earl Wayne and Inez Irene (Robertson) Robinson, Larry graduated from Nevada High School in 1964. He worked at John Deere, served in the United States Army, and later returned to John Deere in Ankeny as a painter, retiring in 1996.

On April 15, 1967, Larry married Connie Byers at St. Patrick Church in Nevada. Together they raised four children: Jeff, Tracy, Joe, and Monica. Connie passed away in 2005. Larry later married Marcia Stoeffler on July 11, 2008; she preceded him in death in 2022.

A man of deep faith, Larry was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He took great pleasure in raising his hobby herd of Limousin cattle, collecting guns, and staying closely connected to his grandchildren through long phone conversations. He is survived by his children and their families, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as Marcia’s children and their families, his cousin Brenda Reynolds, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Duane Robinson, and both of his wives.
