He was retired from Matlack and a member of Faith Chapel General Baptist Church.Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Jr., James, Nora Mae, Clarence, Marvin, Doris Ann, Norma Jean, and Ervin.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wanda (Jeffries) Riggs; sons, Larry Wayne Riggs, Jr. (Bonnie), and Jeffrey Lee Riggs (Kelley); grandchildren, Terry (Mary), John (Allie), Katie (Beneil), Dustin, Cameron (Molly), Zachary, and Gavin.His funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
