He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmery Padgett and Margie M. Heslip Padgett; his wife Elaine Padgett; his son Chris Padgett; and his siblings, Jerry Padgett and Violet Hunt.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Rita Carlquist; his daughter Tammy Wilson (Kenney); his pet Churro; his grandchildren, Troy Padgett, Luke Padgett and Lori Williams; his great grandchild Sara Williams; and his nieces, Betty Paul, Tommie Phillips and Jerri Padgett. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Claybar Funeral Home - Bridge City (800 Highland Dr, Bridge City, TX 77611). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
