Larry Vance, age 72 of Hindman, Kentucky, passed away on March 9, 2026 at his residence. Born on December 18, 1953 in Fairborn, Ohio, he was the son of the late William and Mary Geneva Stewart Vance.
He was the devoted husband of Patricia Garten Vance. Together they raised a family that brought him great joy. Larry is survived by his son, Larry Vance Jr. of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; his daughter, Tonia Prewitt of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; his brother, Benjamin Litteral of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Olivia Anderson, Katelyn Fraley, Tanner Prewitt, Haley Slone, and Zoe Vance; and great-grandchildren Harper Slone and Beau Short.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sally Vance, in addition to his parents. Those who knew and loved Larry will remember him as a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose presence will be deeply missed.
