He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vail and Edna Vail (Bergner); his grandson Tyler Vail; his brother Howard; and his sister-in-law Marylen Vail.
He is survived by: his son Brett Vail (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Breanna Herbst (Blake) and Travis Vail (Brooke Osborne); and his great grandchildren, Caia Vail, Chesney Herbst and Paisley Herbst.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCordsville United Methodist Church (6247 W Broadway, McCordsville, IN 46055). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
