Larry “Homer Jack” Saylor, age 61, of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
He is survived by his three children, Julianna Montoya and her wife Samantha of Manchester, Kentucky, Jason Gross of Manchester, and Les Gross of Ohio; seven siblings, Henry Saylor and his wife Polly of Manchester, Lee Saylor and his wife Nora of California, Josh Saylor of Manchester, Jimmy Saylor of Manchester, Frances Saylor Hoover and her husband Jeff of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Ola Saylor of Arizona, and Brenda Saylor of Manchester; two grandchildren, Summer Jarvis and Shiann Jarvis; and special nieces Amber Saylor and Mesa Nelson, along with a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Katie Gibson Saylor; his sister, Allie Fair Saylor; and his cousin Elbert Saylor, who was like a brother to him.
Larry was a retired heavy equipment operator known for his strong work ethic and his dedication to providing for his family. A devoted family man, he centered his world around his daughter and took great pride in all his children. In later years, his grandchildren became the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He found deep joy in the outdoors, spending his free time riding his ATV, fishing, and camping. He also loved music of all kinds. Above all, Larry will be remembered as a good dad, a proud grandfather, and a man who deeply loved his family. His laughter and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
