Larry Hanson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Summit Funeral & Cremation on Mar. 3, 2026.Larry Hanson, age 78, of Minneapolis MN, died of pneumonia on February 28th, 2026 at Suite Life Senior Living.Born to Gladys and Walter Hanson April 13, 1947 and raised in Northwood, North Dakota, he was drafted during the Vietnam war and proudly served his country in Europe with the Army. Larry moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota after fulfilling his duty serving in the military to work in a bakery and worked there until he retired at age 55. He married Jean Iverson and that union was blessed with their beloved daughter. During that time his family lived in Minneapolis.Larry loved to talk to everyone he met and always enjoyed making new friends. He also loved flying airplanes, carpentry, light-hearted humor, drawing, playing guitar, and his dogs.He will be remembered as an adventurer, an artist and as a supportive family-man. He will be deeply missed.He was preceded in death by Gladys and Walter Hanson, brother Wayne Hanson and sister Linda Hanson and is survived by his wife, Jean Hanson, his Daughter, Carrie Warns, his Sisters Myrna Manson, Gayle Gulbrandson and Connie Huus, and his 4 grandchildren Joey, Zachary, John and Ella.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
