Larry Lee Groseclose, 78, of Tyrone, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on December 30, 1948, in Alexandria, Virginia, he was the son of the late Clarence John and Margaret Esther (Sherman) Groseclose.

On May 7, 1967, in Everett, Larry married Donna Kay Mountain, who preceded him in death on July 8, 2019. He is survived by his three children, Joel Wade (Bethany Jean) Groseclose, John Albert (Tisha Aysel) Groseclose, and Elizabeth Kay (Ronald Calvin II) Detwiler; thirteen grandchildren, Zoë, Erin, Joel II, Kaylee, Gabrielle, Marina, Daniel, Loralai, Brooke, MacKenzie, Amelia, Brielle, and Zachary; and six great-grandchildren, Lucas, Elizabeth, Levi, Jameson, Casen, and Logan. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Jeannette Satterwhite and Judy Kimberling, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

A graduate of Saint Leo’s University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Larry served his country honorably in the United States Army, retiring from Fort Meade, Maryland. He later worked as a polygrapher for the CIA and maintained professional memberships in the American Polygraph Association and the Maryland Polygraph Association. He found joy in hunting and fishing during his younger years, attending Baltimore Orioles games with his family, and staying informed about current events.

Larry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with those he loved.
