Larry Keith "Pete" Tyson

Larry Keith “Pete” Tyson of Blakely, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on June 22, 1959, in Blakely, Pete was a warm-hearted and dedicated member of his community. A longtime active member of Hilton Methodist Church, he lived a life centered on faith, family, and quiet service to others.

Pete spent his career as a Legal Processor for Houston County, Alabama, where he earned the respect of colleagues for his diligence, integrity, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was known for his steady kindness and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him.

He is survived by his children, Zachary Tyson of Blakely, Georgia, and Jennifer Russ (Leonard) of Dothan, Alabama, and by his eight cherished grandchildren: Elliott Tyson, Kayleigh Tyson, Rylan Tyson, Kaelynn Tyson, Paisley Zaleski, Gabriel Pickett, Benjamin Pickett, and Nevaeh Russ, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his sister, Kay Nipper of Gainesville, Florida.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Flozzell Tyson and Myrtice Storey, his sister Elaine Edmonds, and his brother Don Tyson. His family finds comfort knowing he is now reunited with them.
