Larry J. Kaplan, 74, of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on March 30, 1951, in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the beloved son of Robert and Margaret Kaplan. Raised in Clifton, New Jersey, Larry graduated from Clifton High School in 1969 and went on to earn an associate degree in Liberal Arts from Grahm Junior College in Boston in 1971.

For more than four decades, Larry worked in the fire equipment industry, serving as Vice President of Sales for Fire-End and Croker in Elmsford, New York. He also gave generously of his time to the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton. In 2012, he retired and moved to a condo in Wildwood, New Jersey, where he enjoyed early morning bike rides along the boardwalk, watching ocean sunrises and sunsets, and spending time at the beach.

In 2015, Larry moved to Cranberry Creek in Little Egg Harbor, where he married Toni, the love of his life. A man of deep faith, he lived by the motto “Letting God in and letting go.” He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he volunteered with the food pantry and Celebrate Recovery. Larry was known for his loyalty, generosity, and fun-loving spirit. He touched the lives of everyone around him with his kindness and genuine care for others.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Margaret Kaplan. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Toni Kaplan; his daughter, Jennifer Burrous (Rachel); his granddaughter, Mackenzie Riley Berkowitz; his stepdaughter, Tiffany Nicole Thomas (Ira); his sister, Dorinee Sherman; his sister-in-law, Tina Lisa Carroll; his brother-in-law, Arcillo Martin Rhette; and many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. His faith, kindness, and love for life will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
