Larry Henry Perkins

Larry was born on November 26, 1949, to George H. Perkins and Mary E. (Sims) Perkins. He was the third of thirteen siblings. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Perkins; his sister, Mary L. Addison; his nephews, Ronnell Perkins and Reginald Perkins; and several aunts and uncles.

Larry was educated in the Kansas City School System. He worked at Hallmark Cards and held several jobs in maintenance over the years. Larry loved to sing, and his favorite song was “There’s a Leak in This Old Building.”

Larry departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Tiffany and Yolanda; his sisters, Renda, Linda, Sondra, Diane, Vanessa, and Terry; his brothers, Alton, Gregory, Daniel Renwick (Rick), and Tracy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, March, 19, 2026, at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC, 2800 E. 18th St., Kansas City, MO, 64127. The service will begin at 3:00pm; there will be no visitation prior to the service.
