Larry Gene Hancock

Larry Gene Hancock, age 78, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his home. Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on December 21, 1947, he was the son of the late Elmo and Katie Mae Cayce Hancock.

Larry spent many years working in construction on Fort Campbell and remained a man of deep Baptist faith throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings: brothers Richard Hancock, Ray Hancock, and Billy Hancock, and sisters Rosie Robertson, Louise Harper, and Ruby Smith.

He is survived by his brothers, Edward Hancock of Princeton, Kentucky, and Bennie (Judy) Hancock of Hopkinsville, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
