Larry Dean MolgaardMay 14, 1943 - March 8, 2026Larry Dean Molgaard, age 82, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 8, 2026, at CHI-Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. IA.Larry was born May 14, 1943, in Council Bluffs to the late Harry and Florence (Head) Molgaard and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force for four years. He was united in marriage to Roberta "Bobbie" Carlson on August 5, 1962, and together raised daughter Robin and son Dane. After his time in the military, Larry joined his father Harry before starting his own, Larry Molgaard's Body Shop. His first shop was on Avenue A before moving the business to 9th Avenue. Larry took great pride in his work. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially spending time with his family. Larry was a great provider to his wife and kids. Larry and Bobbie are members of Our Savior Lutheran Church.He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Florence Molgaard; grandparents Henry and Jean Molgaard; in-laws Stewart "Swede" and Evelyn Carlson; sister-in-law Rita Molgaard; brother-in-law Frank Youngblood.Larry is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Roberta "Bobbie" Molgaard; daughter Robin Molgaard; son Dane Molgaard and wife Stacey; three granddaughters, Kaleigh Molgaard, Kristin Pulkrab and husband Slater, and Megan Mejia and husband Matt; great grandson Henry Pulkrab; brothers Terry Molgaard and Gary Molgaard; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.Visitation for family and friends Monday 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by funeral service at 11:00 am all at Cutler O'Neill Funeral Home. Larry will be laid to rest in Ridgewood Cemetery with military rites by the Kanesville Rider Honor Guard. Luncheon will follow at the Walnut Hill Reception Center. Memorials will be directed by the family.
