Larry D. Justice, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Candler, North Carolina, at the age of 73. Born on April 22, 1952, in Asheville, he was the son of Willard Claude Justice and Bertha Ledford Justice, who have preceded him in death.
Larry graduated from Enka High School in the class of 1970, laying the foundation for a life filled with various talents and achievements. Known for his ability to tackle any task with determination and skill, he was a man of many talents. His humorous personality endeared him to those around him; he loved to make others smile and spread joy wherever he went.
He leaves behind two sons, Larry Justice, Jr. and his wife Monica, and Brian Justice, who carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. He was also a devoted grandfather to Alivia, Alexis, Megan, Matthew, and Amanda, who cherished their time with him. In addition, Larry embraced his role as a great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren, creating memories that they will always hold dear.
Larry is survived by his brother, Loren Justice, and his wife Cecila, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss his infectious spirit and warmth. He was preceded in death by his brothers, WC Justice and Lionel Justice.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation in the Chapel of Anders Rice & Roper Funeral Home in Asheville on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at Green Hills Cemetery at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Andy McDevitt officiating, where he will be laid to rest amongst his loved ones.
Larry D. Justice, Sr. will be remembered for his laughter, his unwavering support to his family, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey here. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
