He is survived by: his wife Carol Watson of Harlan, IA; his daughters, Jennifer Watson-Peters (Bernie) of Persia, IA, Suzanne Handbury (Jay) of Neola, IA, Rebecca Eldridge (Mark) of Terre Haute, IN and Barbara Carter (Shawn) of Harlan, IA; his grandchildren, Alivia Jackson (Davis), Gavin Peters (Nicole), James Handbury, Abigail Peters (Cameron Creek), McKenzie Carter (Adam Kajs), Sydney Whitfield (Trey), Perri Carter, Jenna Handbury and Avery Carter; his sister Lynette Dvorak (Marvin) of Omaha, NE; and his sister-in-law Lois Shultheis of Wayne, NE. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 1005 Tarkington St, Harlan, IA 51537.
