Laretta J. Shaffer

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laretta J. Shaffer of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 9, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver MacLaughlin and Ruth MacLaughlin (Lehman); and her husband Donald R. Shaffer. She is survived by: her children, Peter Shaffer (Carolyn), Michael Shaffer, Lauren Shaffer (Dana) and William Shaffer (Melissa); her grandchildren, Makayla, Emily, Madalyn, Olivia S., Olivia K., Lillian, Barrett, Reagyn and Ruby; and her siblings, Thelma MacLaughlin, Barbette MacLaughlin (Scott), Oliver MacLaughlin (Elizabeth), Renee Mrkonja (Milan), Larraine MacLaughlin and Iris McGaffic (Terry). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wildwood Chapel (2850 Jackson St, Aliquippa, PA 15001). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society.
