Lanna Mae Berns

Lanna Mae Berns, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born on August 12, 1949, in Trenton, she was the daughter of Eddie and Iva (Morris) Ames. She married the love of her life, Tom Berns, on July 26, 1970.

A proud 1967 graduate of Jefferson High School, Lanna worked as a beautician, a career that allowed her to express her creativity and bring joy to others through her skill and caring touch. Her nurturing spirit shone through in everything she did.

Lanna’s greatest happiness came from her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, Terri (Kat Wardyla) Berns and Edward (Lauren) Berns, and took special delight in her grandchildren, Arden Goode and Kaden Goode. An avid bowler and a talented cook and baker, she filled her home with warmth, laughter, and delicious creations that brought delight to those around her.

Predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robin Ames, Lanna is remembered with deep affection by her husband, children, grandchildren, and many friends. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love remain a lasting treasure to all who knew her.
