Kyle Michaels

Kyle W. Michaels, 36, of New Haven, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on January 5, 1990, in Norwalk, he was the son of Lori (Grimm) Thornton and Coy Michaels. Kyle graduated from Wynford High School and worked at Timken Co. in Bucyrus, O'Reilly Auto Parts in Willard, and Walmart in Norwalk. He found joy in collecting guns, automotive work, 3-D printing, and photography.

He is survived by his mother, Lori (Aaron) Thornton of Willard; his father, Coy Michaels of Bucyrus; his sister, Elizabeth Michaels of Bucyrus; his brother, Jacob Michaels of Bucyrus; his grandmother, Malinda Grimm of New Haven; his uncle, Brian (Kim) Grimm of Shelby; his aunt, Michelle Michaels of Galion; and several cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Grimm; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Sandra Michaels; and his uncle, Matthew Michaels.
