Kyle F. Richardson

Kyle F. Richardson, 74, of Swansea, Illinois, passed away on March 6, 2026, at EverVella of Swansea following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Kyle dedicated 33 years to teaching social studies in the Mascoutah School District. His deep love of history inspired him to read extensively, both fiction and nonfiction, and he especially enjoyed traveling to historical sites. He also found joy in fishing, attending concerts and plays, and spending time with his granddogs. A longtime member of St. Matthew Church in Belleville, he cherished participating in church events and performed in their Easter and Christmas dramas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack J. and Marguerite E., née McFerron, Richardson, and his nephew, Jeremy Richardson.

Kyle is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cheryl, née Huddlestun, Richardson; daughters Laura and Lisa Richardson, both of Belleville; brother Ross Richardson and his wife Sandra of Effingham; and nephew Scott Richardson of Lafayette, Indiana.
