Kristine Sue Soukup

Kristine Sue Soukup (Abt), age 56, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Appleton, Wisconsin. Born on January 7, 1970, in Wausau, Wisconsin, Kristine brought light and love to all who knew her. She was the beloved wife of Wade A. Soukup and a devoted mother to her daughters Nicole Abt, Ashley Abt, Jessica Abt, and Racheal Baumann. She cherished her role as a grandmother to her many grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

She is survived by her siblings Lori (Andy) Buchkowski, Jim (Maxine) Abt, and Rick (Rikki) Abt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Richard Abt, and her nephew Eric McCabe.

Family was at the heart of everything Kristine did. She lived for family gatherings, whether dinners, cookouts, or celebrating holiday traditions together. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and music from all genres she enjoyed. Summers held special meaning for her as she found joy in planting flowers and tending her plants. She loved spending time outdoors camping, fishing, sitting by fires, and sharing cookouts with those closest to her, including her German Shepherd Max. A true animal lover, Kristine had a special affection for German shepherds and cardinals. She will be remembered for her amazing heart and beautiful soul, her kindness, and her willingness to always extend a helping hand to others.
