Kristina Henkels ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Epting Funeral Home - Fayetteville on Mar. 17, 2026.Kristina Louise Henkels, 64, of Lowell, Arkansas, passed away on March 15, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with neuroendocrine cancer. She was born on July 15, 1961, in Imboden, Arkansas, to Clyde and Emily (Hall) Morgan.Kristina was raised in Hardy, Arkansas, and spent most of her life in the Hardy/Cherokee Village area, where she built a life rooted in hard work, resilience, and devotion to her family. She graduated from Highland High School and continued her education at Black River Technical College. In recent years, she moved to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to her daughter.She worked for many years with the FDIC before transitioning into business ownership and real estate. Later, she served as the Food Service Director for Mammoth Spring Public Schools.Kristina loved spending time outdoors-camping, watching birds, and exploring nature. She enjoyed learning new things and exploring new interests throughout her life. She loved her dog, Murphy. Her faith was central in her life, and she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hardy.She was known for being strong-willed and deeply loyal, with a goofy, lighthearted side that came out around the people she loved most. She shared a close bond with her daughter, Sydney.Kristina was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Tom Henkels.She is survived by her daughter, Sydney of Lowell; and her brothers, Rick Morgan (Melody) of Fayetteville and Bryan Morgan (Heather) of Decatur, Texas.A private burial will be held at Tuck's Chapel Cemetery in Rogers, Arkansas.A celebration of life will be held at Fellowship Bible Church Rogers in the Training Center Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
