Korena Hoshaw

Korena Hoshaw of Hastings, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 10, 1961, in Superior, Nebraska, to Rex and Shirleen (Thomas) Darling. Korena graduated from Superior High School in 1979 and married Don Hoshaw on April 19, 1980.

She is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love for her family was evident in everything she did. Korena leaves behind her husband, Don Hoshaw; her son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Meghan Hoshaw; and her cherished grandchildren, Beckett, Ariah, and Elliott Hoshaw. She is also survived by her mother, Shirleen Redinger; brothers Kevin and Kelvin Darling; sister and brother-in-law, Dodi and Gary Holling; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Korena was preceded in death by her father, Rex Darling, and her sisters, Kathy Neilsen and Becky Strine.
