Kimberly Kay Asche, 51, passed away peacefully at her home in Eagle, Idaho, on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her husband, Steve, her sons, Jacob and Noah, her sister, Karyn, and brother-in-law, Ron. A woman of quiet, steadfast faith, Kim lived as a devoted servant of the Lord, shaping every act of love, generosity, and care through her deep commitment to God and family. With an immense heart and artistic spirit, she showed that a true home is built not of stone, but of love, resourcefulness, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished.
Born on April 3, 1974, in Corona, California, Kim was the daughter of Richard Lee Reynolds and Pamela Kay Sprague Reynolds. From an early age she carried a profound appreciation for family, a value that became the foundation of her life. In 1996 she married her soulmate, Steven LaRue Asche. The couple soon moved to Idaho, where Kim created a sanctuary she came to call her comfort place. Though she always longed for more time near her parents, sister’s family, and brother Chad in California, she poured her creativity and nurturing spirit into building a warm and beautiful home in Idaho.
Kim was a devoted homemaker and an extraordinary mother to Jacob and Noah. Her maternal love reached far beyond her own children as she and Steve welcomed many foster children into their home, offering them safety, stability, and compassion. Her strength and resilience were never more evident than in 2010 when Steve faced kidney failure. As his dedicated caregiver, she kept their family grounded in hope and warmth. After his successful transplant, the couple channeled their perseverance into a creative business crafting inspirational home signs and family crests, reflecting Kim’s belief in the sanctity of home and family.
With remarkable resourcefulness, Kim transformed modest surroundings into spaces of beauty and comfort, turning their house into a magnificent “castle” through intention, imagination, and love. She is survived by her husband, Steven Asche of Eagle, Idaho; sons Jacob and Noah Asche, Jacob’s wife Corina, and Noah’s fiancée Audrey; her mother, Pamela Reynolds; sister Karyn and husband Chris Cipolla and their children Austin and Alyssa Cipolla; brother Chad Reynolds; parents-in-law Ronald and Frances Asche; brothers-in-law Monte and Ron; sister-in-law Michelle; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Reynolds.
