Kimberly Ann James, age 56, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born on March 1, 1970, in Virginia, Kim was the daughter of the late Edgar Wiles Blackburn and Murray McKnight. She was the owner and operator of Six Star Events LLC, where she delighted others through her catering work. A woman of deep and unwavering faith, she served as an ordained minister and remained an active member of Radical Change Ministries.
Kim found great joy in cooking, gardening, reading, music, and working on puzzles. She married Brandon James on August 18, 1990, in Winchester, Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Brandon; her daughter, Haley Tyler James of Winchester; her mother, Murray Blackburn McKnight; her “son of the heart,” Daniel Victor (Cary) of North Carolina; and her three beloved grandchildren, Ainsley, Becklyn, and Fenix Victor. She is also survived by her stepsisters, Missy Barber and Chrissy Lessey, her stepbrother, John Woodcock, Jr., and her stepmother, Katherine Hopper. She was preceded in death by her father and her stepparent, Taylor Marshall.
